September is over

September was AMAZING! I pledged on the 1st September to do some exercise every single day of September. GOAL MET! (Well, once I go to the gym tonight it will be met) Where I knew I had evening commitments, I would drag myself out of bed at 6am to go for a run before work. I started off just telling myself to do 15 minutes: I did more than 15 minutes every single day, some days I even did a morning AND evening workout. I'm feeling back in my groove. My best friend commented that I am 'unbelievable'. He said that he's the type that would set the goal, but then if he realised he had promised to meet a friend one evening, for example, he'd just think 'ah well, can't do it' whereas I'm the type that would say 'ah well, looks like I better set my alarm an hour earlier and get it in'. That made me feel good. He is right though. I'm as competitive with myself as I am with others, so it helps keep me going.

Anyway, moving on to October. My goal next month is to the 30 Day Abs and Squats Challenge. I 'discovered' Pinterest earlier this month. Meaning I had heard of it, but never realised how amazing it is! There is SO much on there! So this is the one I've chosen, Abs and Butt haha Day 30 is already freaking me out (100 sit ups, 200 crunches, 120 second plank, 60 push ups, 100 squats!!!!!!) but I won't even look there. One day at a time…Day 1 is just 15 sit ups, 5 crunches, 10 second plank, 10 push ups and 100 squats, so I'll just have to work my way up. Wish me luck…And November is my birthday month so this will make sure I am one smoking hot mama by then :-)

I've also written a list of 31 reasons why I want to/need to lose weight. Blogging and writing really helps me gather my thoughts, so I'm going to use October to really look deep into my motives and goals for doing this, taking each reason each day and blogging it out. I haven’t felt this motivated in a long time, and I feel like I really have found a plan and routine that is going to work for me. My goal now seems totally achievable, but I need to get the mental side of things sorted too.
