Thanks for the suggestions on the Fuhrman/veggie eating way

Your suggestions are definitely helping me. Just knowing that people are making this manageable is very supportive. I am trying to stop my cravings for dairy things. I think my cravings for crusty, bready, muffiny things has decreased. But I am still seeking out cheeses and ice cream. I found healthy ways to have chocolate: Vitalicious muffin tops and using cocoa even in green smoothies.

I am less hungry in general--but this is not enough to stop my between meal eating. That is such an age-old way of life that I will have to work harder at it. Eating at the table is the best technique right now.

My weight is approaching the lower end of recent history. Yeah! It is really discouraging when it creeps up to the higher end. Heaven forbid it going past that!

    I am finding with my girls (I am still juice fasting but I cook a meal each day for them and they are allowed to snack on freggies) that if I make sure their meal and snacks are really tasty they don't complain of craving or wishing for the old bad habit stuff. If I'm lazy and tell them to just help themselves to the freggies and fix themselves a salad, then I get the, "I wish I could have some...." type stuff. So I'm trying to develop a really good library of tasty, satisfying type recipes that are also pretty quick and easy cuz I'm a pretty lazy cook;o) I stopped craving all that stuff after a few days of juice fasting so I don't know if I'd gone straight to ETL how it would have gone. Cheese is the one thing I think we will all wish for sometimes so I'm going to check into some Vegan versions and see if any would fit the ETL guidelines at all. At least for a treat now and then.

    Frozen banana slices, a touch of vanilla extract and a bit of chopped nuts in the blender is pretty good in place of ice cream. emoticon

    I find if I eat all the food listed of the unlimited for 3 meals I don't have room in my stomach to think of snacking. Plus we do Buffet for the salad bars and after the first plate of greens and my oh I am so hungry has passed so have the cravings. Keep working at it. I think it will always be a work in progress for me. It has been the only way with my thyroid issues that I finally slowly started loosing weight.

    As for smoothie desserts I add extracts for more flavor and thinking of ordering some powdered low fat peanut butter to also spice it up. As it gets cooler I will be adding pumpkin based things also in for something different.

    You can do it darling ..I have Greek yoghurt instead of cream on my fruit. It has a lovely flavour ..and is full of nutrition
