Day 3 Intermittent Fasting (IF) Journal

Today went well. I stopped eating at 5:15 PM last night and had my first meal at 9:15 AM, a 16-hr IF. I was mildly-moderately hungry when I started eating. I had a really busy day, appointments all day. No exercise, unfortunately. I ate 2150 calories.

    Kathy, you must be a much lighter eater than me! My ave daily calorie requirement is around 2092, so I ate slightly more than average. Great job going 18 hrs and still making good food choices. (I do not think IF is useful if it causes too much rebound eating or poor choices, but appetite can be trained, for sure.) I am surprised that I am NOT ravenous after 16 hrs, just a little hungry most days. IF seems to be working for me so far. After 30 days I will decide whether or not to stay with it. I probably will. I feel like I can eat this way forever.

    Ouch...that is tough when that happens on a fast day.

    I go from about 8 pm to 2pm, so about 18 hours. Then I have about a 100 or less calorie snack ( hard boiled egg, some nuts or a light Greek yogurt).
