Oh my goodness....Wet and cold

My blood is really thin after living in sunny Ajijic for 8 plus years. I am sitting here at Tommy Jr's house looking out at rainy and windy nasty weather. Yikes. But I am nice and warm next to the fireplace that we bought him as a gift. Well spent money. They are saying it is going to be cold wet and raining for the game tomorrow. Yikes. We are going to go out and look for better clothes for tomorrow. We will look for rain ponchos. Burr. It's a shame as my DH bought really nice seats like 6 rows up from the team. Well I will wear tons of clothes and hopefully a rain slicker.

Other than that we are really enjoying our time here with Tommy Jr. His girlfriend Marie, who is a Lieutenant in the Coastguard has been in Washington DC for three weeks and gets back tomorrow. This is the longest they have been apart. He is really looking forward to her coming home. Cute....that he misses her. Like I said we get to meet her parents tomorrow. Looking forward to that.

    I am right there with you Sallie, its very cold (near freezing, very windy and rainy) on the first two days of my little getaway. Today was the first time the sun poked out, but large clouds are gathering. I will get a walk in fast before it breaks. Its so beautiful here I have been chomping at the bit to get out.
    I hope you can enjoy the game -maybe invest in some hotshots -little gel handwarmers you bend and it produces heat, can put them in gloves or shoes. I never liked football I must admit and liked it even less that they always play during the cold fall time of the year. Our poor football teams here are no strangers to playing in snow!!

    Hope you find just the right clothes. I remember one miserable Citrus Bowl game I sat through years ago that despite my rain gear, all my clothes -- even my underwear --could be wrung out after the game!

    Sounds like a nice place to be right now. Next to a fire : )! I just spent an hour outside picking up stuff all over the yard after going grocery shopping. Still have a bunch to do before I can get a some time to sit. Doubt I will put the time into starting up the fireplace too lol! Maybe on Sunday : )...
    Enjoy! Hope you find good stuff to layer up with. Costco got some good stuff in recently. Picked up a few layering pieces and rain coat the other day there ; )

    The weather definitely turned to fall here about a week and a half ago, hope you can find something to wear that will keep you warm and dry. We are going to the Mariners game tonight, and I think I need to change to something warmer--it is going to be chilly at the ballpark!

    I'm not happy with the stormy weekend forecast so I will be staying inside. Dounds like it's going to be really nasty. Get some cheep throw away rain gear from the sporting good store. Works great for bad weather games. Just put warm clothes underneath.
