Week 5 Weigh In

Friday, September 27, 2013

First off, let me say that the walk went amazingly well! We were so blessed by all the people that came out, both the volunteers and the folks who are affected. We had 346 in attendance and some awesome volunteers. This was my first year officially co-organizing and, although frustrating at times, it was a great experience and I’m excited to do it again! :-)

I can honestly say that I am disappointed. Not with my weigh in, which was a 1.2 pound gain BTW, but in myself. I really didn’t plan the way I needed to, I ate out way too much. I forget how much the walk takes out of me. Definitely thinking I should start trying to prepare meals in like March and freeze them so that I have no excuses next year after the walk. I am determined to make things change. I know that the scale is only one piece of feedback, but if I don’t change my body, who will? I noticed I have been struggling more this month with the workouts...but I think that I will try to go back to my morning workouts. I know it will be a struggle in the beginning…not wanting to get up, etc., but my gym opens at 5 and I can’t think of one reason why I shouldn’t be there! That would still give me some time to workout and then get ready for work. I am already planning for the coming week and ready to make sure that I have healthy options for lunch and dinner available. 180’s I’m coming back and it won’t take me too long! Look out! :-)
