MERCY PROVIDES STRENGTH
We are all overwhelmed, at times, with problems. There are times when we think we see the light at tht end of the tunnel only to find out it’s another long train of issues coming our way. However, when we choose to give our problems to God, no matter how overwhelming they seem, He will help us. Even in our most desperate time, God is near. God is near and ready to listen to our plea for mercy. He is ready to give us strength.
Daniel 9:18 “O my God, lean down and listen to me. Open your eyes and see our despair. See how your city—the city that bears your name—lies in ruins. We make this plea, not because we deserve help, but because of your mercy.” (NLT)
Dear Lord, we have situations in life when we don’t know where to turn. Some situations are because we didn’t come to You first and we made wrong decisions. Other situations are where things happened that we don’t understand and we don’t know what to do. Please lean down and listen to us today, Lord. See our despair. We cry out to You not because we deserve Your help but because of Your mercy and love. Give us strength today to carry on as we seek Your solution to our problems. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
There is no situation in life too big for God.
When we go to God with our problems, He will give us strength, wisdom and understanding.
When we don’t go to God with our problems, we will be worn down with worry, doubt and despair.
Even when we dig a hole and get so deep we don’t know how to get out, God can help.
If we believe and trust in God, He will have mercy on us and give us strength in tough times.
Psalm 86:16 “Look down and have mercy on me. Give your strength to your servant; save me, the son of your servant.” (NLT)
