It's Almost Friday = Feeling Better

Thursday, September 26, 2013

Today I didn't go to the gym- just really wasn't in the mood after getting very little sleep last night. Instead I went grocery shopping and stocked us up on fresh veggies & fruit, and ingredients for homemade dinners. The produce was good today, so I got a lot of stuff, and my "workout" today was carrying in all the bags of groceries from the car. That was all I could manage for today exercise-wise. Tomorrow it will be back to the gym though...another session on the treadmill. I bought a new water bottle for taking to the gym, so I will be all set to workout tomorrow.

I'm excited the weekend is almost here. I've had enough of this week lol. I just want to have a nice weekend with hubby, maybe watch a movie, catch up on some tv, and go to the park like we planned. Nothing very exciting, but it sounds good to me!

I can't believe September is almost over. It is almost a month since we moved, but so much has happened in that short time, it feels like a lifetime since we left NJ. I know I am making progress here, but progress feels really slow sometimes. It's the same with losing weight- you want to see results right away, you want to see evidence that the hard work is doing something good. But pounds don't just melt off 5 at a time, and making progress in other areas is similarly hard to wait out a lot of the time. I guess it's just kind of hard to see progress when you still see a million hurdles in front of you. BUT, I think it's like that for everyone. We just have to focus on how far we've come, and not how far we still have to go to get to where we want to be. Everyone is a work in progress, including me.
