Still pushing onward

It is rather amazing to me that I am still working out and still doing all I can to eat the best that I know how. I pulled something in my outer leg on Saturday the day before my rest day. Now normally the old me would throw in the towel and say I'm done. Before injury would mean total and complete derailment. I would say whats the point, there is no way I am going to lose this weight and just stop working out and not care about what I ate. But not this time. I injured myself by pushing myself just a little further than my body was willing to go. So instead of doing what my schedule said I was going to do, which was rest Sunday, workout Monday and rest again on Tuesday. I just took Monday as an extra rest day and then I started back into my normal routine again gently this afternoon.
I also made sure that I was eating well on the rest days since I was rather restricted on movement. Instead of having two servings for dinner I only had one and was surprised to find that I was full from that one serving. Instead of having a cookie or something like that I had a bowl full of green grapes that were absolutely delicious!
I simply must keep going this time because I have goals to meet. I will be extra careful with my body since it is the only one I get and I will listen to it. But I am not going to stop until I reach my goals. There is always something I can do!
