My Last Year

So, I'm back to SparkPeople again. From September 2012 to August 2013 I was a member of Weight Watchers. It started off well, escalated to great, and then somewhere around May I just plateaued... and then went to Disney World for my birthday,
First paid vacation from a job - went to Florida with my boyfriend to visit his family. Kennedy Space Center, Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Gambling Cruise, dinners with family, desserts, etc. And miraculously... I only gained 3 lbs while I was there. This was okay. Get my head back in the game.
Except... I couldn't. A little this here, a little this there. No biggie, right? With one small problem -- I was a Maid of Honor for one of my best friends and her wedding was in July. The dress fit beautifully. I needed it to stay that way.
Made it to July 12th. On the day of the wedding, zipped that dress up after helping the beautiful (size 0) bride into her wedding dress. And the zipper was tight. I was bloated from 2 days bachelorette party bliss... I felt enormous. Every single person said I looked great, the dress looked great, no you don't look fat. I felt fat. I felt tight and squeezed into a dress that had fit so wonderfully just 2 weeks earlier. This felt like the end of the world.
It was my reason to get back on track, right? Nope. Couldn't get my crap together. And so the rest of the summer was me, spending money on Weight Watchers, and only half attempting to keep up with my tracking. I was triyng to exercise a bit more (bit being a key word), and I was watching what I eat (watching it go right from my plate to my fork to my mouth) with practically no effort. It was time for a change.
There was no use to continue to pay for a service I was no longer getting benefits from. So after ditching the monthly charge, I decided to come back here. Free is nice, the plan is different (get me out of my slump if I try tracking from a different angle), and it was time for me to stop exercising as in walking the park for 40 minutes every day or so, like I always do, at the same pace.
Day 3 of dedicating myself to following the calorie tracking program. Day 1 of training for a 5K based on a program I found on SparkPeople. Weight Watchers helped me lose 25 lbs... 10 of which I gained back slowly over the last 5 months. Let's try this approach again and see if i can eliminate this 10 and take it even closer to my eventual goal of 150. Here we go.
