Ok...so I saw this info commercial about 10 minute work-outs and it looked intriguing. I recently saw a program on PBS about new ways to think about exercise, and it seemed to go along with those findings...which are about the benefits of short, highly intense, interval, exercise. I decided to give it a try.

There was a free ab workout on line. So did it two days ago and still feel the effect. It's not excruciating pain...just the "hello? This is your muscles. We are awake and wondering what the hell happened?"

I ordered the set, but didn't want to wait the three-five days it wil take to arrive, so today I did my own version of 10 minute interval cardio on the treadmill. I started at 1.5 mph and increased speed every 30 seconds until I hit the point I thought I could die, then went down to 3 mph and up again. When it got hard I said...just ten minutes...just ten minutes...just ten minutes

I also wrote in my journal for ten minutes.

And got dressed in ten.

There may be a lot of things I'll do for "just ten minutes". It fits my self-diagnosed ADHD personality.

Gotta get back to work.

My ten minute break is over.
