No wonder I was overweight!

Sometimes, to remind myself of something (not quite sure what) I visit the websites of various fast food places and plug in my old "go to" meals to see where I am at calorie wise...

2 double stack burgers @ 460 calories/each
Medium fry @ 410 calories
Medium Frosty @ 410 calories
Medium Coke @ 240 calories
Total calories = 1980

Burger King
2 whopper Jrs @ 340 calories/each
Medium Onion Ring @ 410 calories
Hershey's Sundae Pie @ 310 calories
Large Sweet Tea @ 240 calories
Total Calories = 1640

2 McDoubles @ 390 calories/each
Medium Fry @ 380 calories
2 apple pies @ 250 calories/each
Iced Coffee @ 120 calories
Total Calories = 1780

1 footlong Steak and Cheese on White w/ lettuce, tomato, onion, and mayo
1000 calories
1 bag of chips @ 160 calories
3 cookies @ 200 calories/each
Coke @ 260 calories
Total Calories = 2020

I could go on and on with Taco Bell, KFC, Arby's, and so on, but I think you get the idea. No wonder I was overweight! Seriously! Looking at this now, I don't see how I ever ate it. The thought of it makes me sick. Ugh, I don't get it. Ick!

Now,while I still *sort of* eat at some of these places, I make a lot better choices. The only thing I get from Mcdonalds is the coffee. I can't stomach the thought of their food. Wendy's is either a salad or a small chili, BK is... well nothing, I don't like anything from there, except their BBQ Chicken salad, which is a limited edition, so i don't count it... Subway I still get a steak and cheese, but it is on a flat bread, 6inch, no mayo, and I don't even eat it all.

So anyway, I am still having the great phone debate. I REALLY want to get a Smart Phone so I can have the Zombies Run! app, but the thought of paying all of that money for a phone makes me cringe and hurt inside. I have a hard time justifying a phone bill of over $100 a month when I don't even get service at my house. I will keep debating this over and over in my head for months I am sure!

I am working all this week. In fact, by the end of my shift on Saturday, I will have put in a total of 87 hours.
Sunday 9/22 = 12 hrs
Monday 9/23 = 13 hrs
Tuesday 9/24 = 13 hrs
Wednesday 9/25 = 12 hrs
Thursday 9/26 = 12 hrs
Friday 9/27 = 12 hrs
Saturday 9/28 = 13 hrs

That is a lot of work! I would also like to mention my house in under construction and they start work every morning at 7:00 - I get home from work on the 13 hour days at 7:00 am and at 5:00 am on the 12 hour days. I am thinking that I will eventually sleep just from sheer exhaustion. Oh, and I have to manage to fit some PC Fit in there somewhere. I went today at 10:00, and I know I will hit Friday at 5:30 am, but I would like to get another class in, just not sure which one. If I don't it isn't a *huge* deal, because next week my schedule will go back to normal, and I will be able to continue on.

I am dragging right now. I was up at around 8 this morning, and it is now 3:00 am, I have 4 more hours of work left, and when I get home, a construction crew will be putting siding on my house or something. Lucky for me, I have ear plugs, which I intend on using. Hopefully they help and I am able to get some much needed rest.

I think that is all for now. I have some pics to post later on of my awesome outfit today

    Oh holy crap you must be exhausted! That is a crazy amount of work!

    And the Zombies, Run! app is a mighty fine reason to get a smart phone.

    It's good to look back and see how far you have come!! Sometimes, when I am eating some fast food that I used to be able to eat and now I can have a few bites and I am full .... I think to myself, how did I do it before?!?!

    Ya i used to eat like this ! I cant believe what i ate! Im still on the plateau but one day im gona start losing again!

    WOW that is eye opening about the calories counts. I can't believe I ate all those calories too. You need to slow down and not work yourself to death.

    Wow the total calories of those meals are CRAZY! I can't believe I used to eat like that all the time too! The thought of it makes me ill. That's more calories than I eat in a whole day now, not to mention the junky fat and carbs! Urgghhh! Great reminder of how far we've come emoticon

    ugh I never sat down and figured out just how bad one meal could be from fast food...I cannot believe that even one slip can put us up over 2000 calories and so quickly too

    Can you have a daytime sleep at your mom's or gran's?
    Not sleeping enough messes with our heads sometimes.
    BTW I can see how much I ate if I look at my groceries bill. It has halved!

    2 things to also add to "phast phood": 1)the calories are an estimate on their menus. Believe me they are estimating on the low side. 2)It isn't just the calories that are bad it is the total lack of nutrition.


    Sorry about the sleep. Sleep is a necessary part of losing weight and most importantly SANITY.

    I totally am RIGHT THERE with you on the fast food stuff. That was exactly why I was so big. And those meals were just my "dinner" and I had eaten other stuff throughout the day. And that wasn't even a bad "binge" day either, EEK!!

    I am so sorry about all the hours but I know you also wanted the overtime and stuff. It doesn't make it any less exhausting though. emoticon
