Day 77 on the Journey!!

Monday, September 23, 2013

SO today marked the first day of Focus T25 where I did the Focus T25 Cardio video. Unfortunately I've got to say it did not meet my expectations. Admittedly this is but my initial judgement as I've only done 1 video so it may change by the end of the week when I should have done several videos. My review therefore is as follows.

Now after watching the infomercial of people saying "Oh it feels like you've been working out an hour in the first 10 mins," "I'm dying to hear Shaun T say time at the end for the workout to be over, etc." I thought that this workout would be Insanity on steroids. I thought you'd be "dying" because of how fast paced and intense the workout is. Not so at all. I think what I'm about to say might have been different pre-Insanity but it being post-Insanity, the workout was pretty easy. Yes I said easy.

Yes your heart rate went up but you didn't feel it like you do in Insanity. Yes you sweat buckets (slight exaggeration) but you don't feel like you've been pushed to the MAX like in Insanity. Another thing is that the moves require a bit of co-ordination which I didn't love at least not this first time around. In the short 30 seconds you have to do the move you have to be trying to figure out HOW to do the move which by the time you do that is half-way done. This is obviously only going to be troublesome when you're doing the videos initially but still it was a con for me. All in all though, it's a nice, little workout and the time being just 25 minutes is a major pro with my schedule so if I get good results with the program (which I unfortunately doubt even though people have reported as much as 8, 9 and 11.2 lb losses in the FIRST WEEK), I'll stick with it. If not it's back to being INSANE!! LOL!!

On the food front. I did well, I was in all my ranges!!! emoticon . I'm looking forward to see what tomorrow brings especially on the T25 front. I just may be singing a different tune.... we'll see. emoticon

I think that just shows you how far you came through the other workout. You evidently need a different level of workout to meet the increased strength you gained from the other one. I see that as a positive.

Keep on working on it; you'll get the moves down before long!
