There are many times we try to get things done but find there is something or someone keeping us from doing it. Sometimes we are our own stumbling block because there is something in our hearts and in our lives that is not right with God and keeps us from getting things done. However, because of God’s mercy, we can get things done. We can turn from the wrong things we have done and God will give us a second chance. God could easily destroy us and this entire world but because He is merciful, He does not.

Nehemiah 9:31 “But in your great mercy, you did not destroy them completely or abandon them forever. What a gracious and merciful God you are!” (NLT)

Dear Lord, we thank You for Your mercy. We thank You that You are God and You love us. We thank You that You are God and You have mercy on us. Show us today how to best live for You in faith, in trust and in hope knowing You will be with us in all we do. Help us not to stumble but to move forward following Your guidance and direction. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

When we allow God to remove the stumbling blocks before us, we can begin to move forward for Him.

When others attempt to keep us from doing God’s will, we have to choice to not let them and continue to work for God.

When things come up that are out of our control, we have the option to continue working for and trusting in God to get us past the obstacles in life.

Trusting in God means letting things go that are stumbling blocks and allowing Him to guide us past them.

God has the ability to destroy the entire world, but He does not because He is waiting on us to do what we have been called to do because of the freedoms He had given us.

Galatians 5:13 “For you have been called to live in freedom, my brothers and sisters. But don’t use your freedom to satisfy your sinful nature. Instead, use your freedom to serve one another in love.” (NLT)
