Well it is a long day. Much to be done and much already done. So much going on behind the scene that we have no control over. Hubby and I are just trying to stay on track for the time being. We are planning how to do more to save money. Our two biggest expenses are food and gas. Two years ago I put us on a grocery budget that has been working great for us. I purchase my protein, meat and dried beans at the grocery Also found a place where I can get most of my can goods for less which is 90% tomatoe products. They also have wonderful dried pastas. We purchase 90% of our veggies and fruits from the local farmers market We cook from scratch which cut cost greatly. We do purchase the best quality of foods for our bodes.

Not much we can do about gas prices, but I was one that would jump in the car and drive anywhere without a thought. I now plan my driving week..If I am to go across town I do everything at once.

Thank goodness we have our home paid for. It is just a small bungalow but it is comfortable and we enjoy this little home. Hubby's company is laying off 250 employees over the next year. Over half of them before the end of the year. He feels that he will survive the first cuts but not sure after that I will be working for the first 3 months of the year. We have very few bills, just a couple of cards and we never carry a large balance Our biggest expenses are the home insurance and our utilities. We are planning on paying the credit cards off this next month. We will have the cards available if we eally need them but planning not to use them unless necessary

Sorry to sound down but we have a lifestyle adjustments to make in our lives. This was not in our plans at this time, but circumstances make it necessary

I think you sound like you have a good attitude and are making all the right plans. I know for my DH and I even though we would like to move back to the states, it's so much cheaper to live here in Mexico that we will most likely hang tight here.
It's amazing how fast our money disappears.
    Hang in there.

You seem to have a great budget plan there. If you don't mind I can steal some ideas.
