I didn't think I would be at this place again.

I readily admit that I have been postponing "starting" again. And then...

OMG. I stepped on the scale this AM, and i'm 2.5lbs away from my heaviest weight EVER.
*lots of fear*

So I'm back on to tracking (good or bad) and starting to take the steps to be healthier again.

I'm also transitioning to the night shift for a month today. Blerg.

So, I'm charging up my bodymedia fit, tracking my food. my husband is cooking a healthy meal now that will give us 2-3 meals this week. I also picked up a few things from My Fit Foods. Still have some broccoli and celery in the fridge along with a grapefruit and 2 kiwis too. I plan to take my food to work and not be lured in by the cafeteria chicken fingers and burgers and pizza, etc. However the biggest hurdle I often encounter while working nights is getting in the habit of hitting up the Taco Cabana drive through for some breakfast tacos on my way home from working the night shift- that leads to soooo much badness!

So, trying again.

I struggle when I don't bring enough tasty stuff to work with me. If possible, try to bring something to leave in your car that you can eat on the way home so you don't hit the taco place. I have a sweet tooth, so I bring a 100-calorie pack of those Snackwells fudge pretzels so I don't get a Dairy Queen blizzard on the way home! It's not the healthiest food out there, but it's only 100 calories and I feel like I"m getting a treat. When I eat well the rest of the day, it isn't a problem. If I just bring yogurt, carrots, salad, etc., I end up bingeing on the cookies and pizza they make in the cafeteria. Maybe you can find something that works for you.

Great decision to get back on track! emoticon

    You can do it!

The drive through is my weakness, too. I have a long, hungry drive home with lots of tempting options. I started keeping my purse in the trunk of my car!
