MERCY ALLOWS OPTIONS
There are so many options in life. We can choose where we want to work and live. We can choose what we want to eat and where and when to eat it. We can choose things good for us or bad. It is our choice. We can choose to follow man or to follow God. When we follow man, we do not always have options and will end up disappointed and lost. However, when we go to God with our issues, and turn from doing the wrong things in life, we have options. Because of God’s mercy, we don’t have to continue down the path we are going. We have the option to turn to Him and to choose what He guides us to do.
2 Samuel 24:14 “’I’m in a desperate situation!’ David replied to Gad. ‘But let us fall into the hands of the LORD, for his mercy is great. Do not let me fall into human hands.’” (NLT)
Dear Lord, thank You for Your mercy. Thank You that we do have options when we turn to You. Show us what our options are so we choose what is right and good according to Your word and Your will. Because of Your mercy, we don’t get what we deserve when we come to You and repent of our sin. Because of Your mercy, we have options to choose what is right. Help us to seek and select the option You want us to choose so we can live boldly for You. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
When we choose to follow man, we will find a dead end. When we choose God, we will find everlasting life.
God’s mercy allows us to make choices that are ways to turn from what we have done wrong and begin living right for Him.
God knows what we need to do and what we don’t need to do, just ask Him.
There is always a way out of a tough situation when we seek God’s way.
Being obedient to God is the first step in finding the right way to live.
Psalm 86:5 “O Lord, you are so good, so ready to forgive, so full of unfailing love for all who ask for your help.” (NLT)
