It is warm AGAIN-----kinda nice!
Already himself has announced that to-night will be dinner at MacDonald's--
Inside I hear a voice shouting-""NO!""""-
I have fought the fat all week---the dreadmill sweat----not eating at bedtime---the walk in the mosquitos with the Germans----I AM DOWN another recycled pound----

Give me strength-----

Oh man-----Life can be so hard!!!!
So-----it has to be ""Mind over matter"" here----
If it's going to be........it's up to me..........
I CAN cook healthy dinner--
I WILL cook a healthy dinner.....
I AM strong---
We SHALL eat at home to-night-----
How will I ever look like this???----

Actually, I like their Asian Chicken Salad (if they still have it with all their menu changes) It has grilled chicken on it, and the dressing is in a packet. McD's is good about providing the nutrition information for their foods, so it does make it easy to track. I just hate paying 5 times as much for a salad as a burger. (I am a cheapskate and tend to order off the dollar menu)

Well...........I'd vote for cooking at home but if himself wants to go to the golden arches well make a good choice of chicken and salad....or maybe take your dinner in a brown bag emoticon . Really the grilled chicken is not too bad. I went to lunch there when we travelling this past summer and it much better now than it used to be.

I would prefer to cook at home than eat at McD's anytime. Cook up your favorite healthy meal and enjoy the satisfaction of him eating it too.

Don't give up! You can do it! Eat at home and tell him you don't feel up to going. Tell him you want to go for another walk with Coal and Tess. If he still wants you to go, just eat the boring salad. Husbands,....sometimes they just don't get it! Stay strong!

What is the fascination of McDonald's?
I couldn't get DH to go in there if I paid him.
You have a much better plan. HUGS!

Just had McDonald's last night with the GS and have been feeling yucky ever since...guess the tummy doesn't like that food anymore. Maybe you could eat something at home before you go to McD's with Himself and have a salad or beverage while he enjoys it (that's what I'll do next time...lesson learned).

There are ways to eat healthy, even at the infamous McD's... they *do* have side salads and chicken wraps that are a size appropriate for us "senior women"... we just have to want to stick to our own fueling needs, and remember this is what we need, and we deserve to eat what we NEED!

Good luck, at home or at McD's! emoticon

I just track the calories and make a 'better' choice at the fast food place. Sometimes it works.....Keep Sparkin'!!
