Update on my goals:
Running - I have picked up speed on my three mile run, tomorrow I will map out a 3.5 miler. I have to get up super early in the morning because It is too hard to run that far with the dogs. They decide they don't want to run, or they want to go a different way. So I get up extra early, do my run, then comeback and take them for a mile or so walk.
To be fair to the dogs, Loki, is overweight because he has a thyroid problem. He really is a champ on our run walks and has successfully kept up with 3 miles (at his pace). But he also has arthritis. I can see his pain in the way he walks. When he does the 3 miler, I take him home and give him a pain pill and let him get up on the couch for a nap. The other dog, Gabby, is fast and lean, but he doesn't like to walk/run without Loki. So, I go by myself when I want to reach a specific distance. It is too easy for my brain to say, " better cut this short, look at poor Loki."
I am on day 13 of the "Shred." I went to level 2 on day 10. OMG. I just love Jillian. Two days a week I do a circuit with my workout group for about an hour. So 4 days a week I workout with Jillian. I rest one day a week.
I fixed the flat tire on my bike. I live out in the country, and there are goats heads everywhere. Every time I ride my bike I get a flat tire. So I bought inner-tubes with Slime in them. They are supposed to seal up tire punctures as they happen. I put the inner-tubes on both wheels. Then my pump broke. I took the tires into town to pump them up at a gas station, but that pump didn't work either. And I paid 50 cents to use it!! Therefore, I have not ridden my bike yet, but I will next week.
So I realize I have not mentioned diet, which is just as important. I am keeping my calories between the 1200 - 1550 range on most days. I still notice my protein is usually low, and I include protein powder in my diet on most days. On most days I eat the 7 servings of fruits and veggies (mostly fruit). And I don't have a problem drinking 8 glasses of water. I like sodas and ice tea (love coffee), don't really like juices or sweet teas or other sweet drinks. I need a plan to increase my protein intake.
