Day Two of Week Off

Tuesday, September 17, 2013

So, yesterday turned out to be a whole lot less productive than I'd planned! Here's how it went:

9:50 - arrived at doc's office for 10am appt. Was told she was running about half an hour late.

11:00 - finally made it into a room.

11:25 - finally saw the doctor, for a whopping 8 minutes (the nurse had told me the problem was the doc was spending too much time with each patient - not so much, with me!).

11:42 - arrived at lab because she'd ordered bloodwork (did you know they do TB test through blood test now? No more having to go back 2 days later to have the TB test read. Woo hoo!). Anyhow, they were already closed for lunch till 1:30!!! So I decided that will have to happen another day.

Noon - arrived home, ate lunch, got on computer to work on Girl Scout stuff

2:15 - in-laws arrived to pick up their dog on way home from vacation

2:40 - headed over to school with Bam-Bam to get Kate. We stopped for ice cream on the way back, yum. (I got the 95% fat free mint chip, don't worry!)

4:00pm - finished helping Kate with homework and she got on the computer to play while I tooled around.

4:45 - took her to karate class.

So my total productivity for the day was two loads of laundry, getting some GS stuff done, and scheduling a couple appointments. Sigh. What can you do. The good news is, that doc is moving to Denver - she always seems to run way further behind than the other docs there, so maybe whatever doc I get now will be better!!!

The good news is, between my morning run and walking over to school, I got some exercise in...11,857 steps (!), 5.59 miles, 2480 cals burned. Yay!

Today I am hoping to actually tackle my iphotos, which had been yesterday's plan. First I'm going to attack my scrap's so dusty, I get itchy eyes every time I walk back there! Yeah, I'm a great housekeeper. ;-) We do have a cleaning lady who comes once a week, but she just does the basics, and I told her not to bother with that area so god knows when it was last vacuumed.

Okay, gotta get moving!

Good for you on the fat-free ice cream. I don't think I would have had the willpower. I had a McDonald's ice cream cone yesterday. Also, your housekeeper sounds exactly like ours...just does the basics and we (especially my husband) do the rest. She does really help out with the ironing though. That's a lifesaver right there.

Good luck getting it all done this week! So annoying when you spend half the day just getting to see 8" dr then what would be 5" blood draw. BAH! And didn't even finish that;p
