3 Simple Things

Once again my friends at SP come up with a great idea that answers a question or dilemma I face. Unfortunately, I really immersed myself in SP this morning and I don't remember where this tip came from. Sorry I can't give credit properly.

Her suggestion was to help jumpstart yourself (which I need), just decide on three little things you will change up this week. Just three things you'll do differently so that you are making true progress to your goals. For someone like me who is stalled a bit, I am taking this idea and making it happen.

Here are my 3 things I'm changing this week.

emoticon Idea 1: I like Red Hot Blues tortilla chips and eat a full serving of these with most of my homemade lunches. I love the salty, crispy, hot taste of these chips. This week I'm substituting edamame or another veggie or fruit with my lunch. Today's choice? Cantaloupe!

emoticon Idea 2: I'm adding a short break each day to either walk for 15 minutes or do yoga for 15 minutes. It's up to me. Today it was the extra walk because the sun is out after 7 days of pouring rain.

emoticon Idea 3: Change out my afternoon snack with afternoon fruit and/or exercise. I'm never hungry - its more just a break that I need. I'm going to walk around the block and THEN have a piece of fruit if I still want something.

I'm psyched. Looking forward to making a nice, healthy change in my daily life that I should be able to sustain.
