5lbs from goal and I do what?

Monday, September 16, 2013

Man oh man oh man. Wow. So this weekend I went away with my fiance' and family to the shore. I told myself I wasn't going to binge and I'd exercise both days. What actually happened? I binged all weekend and only did 5.25 miles on Saturday. And boy am I feeling it today. I feel so sick, bloated, and just overall gross. I've had some binge days in the past (something I really struggle with) but I guess since it was a binge WEEKEND--it really hit me hard this time. I'm 5lbs from my original goal weight and I binge? for 2.5 days?! The guilt is hitting me hard but now it's out of my system and I'm def back on track today---hopefully it doesnt put too much of a dent in my weight loss for the month.
It's supposed to be gorgeous this week so I'm looking forward to my walk/jogs at the park. SPeaking of that...When will running ever be fun? hahaha I hear people talk about a "runners high" and loving running. Yeah....I hate it now just as much as I did at 293lbs! haha!! The furthest I've ever run straight was 4miles and although I felt awesome afterwards, during it I was miserable. A few friends say that usually once they pass that 3mile marker they get this boost of energy and find it easier so to just push past that 3rd mile and keep going. Lately I've just been running a mile , walk a mile, run a mile, walk.... Maybe this week I'll try to run for 3+straight again since it's been like a month since I've done more than 2.5straight. Gotta work off all that delicious but not so nutritious food from the weekend!!

One weekend isn't going to hurt you, and you still walked 5.25 miles over the weekend that is great. We still have to enjoy life and have fun, don't beat yourself up.

No point in beating yourself up repeatedly. Accept it and move-on. As long as you keep waking up every morning, it's a new day with new possibilities!

The only thing to do after a binge is pick yourself up and resolve to do better in the future. You can do it.

Binging happens and will happen in the future. Believe me! I binged on cake this past weekend. I don't know why I do it. It's like I'm afraid I will never eat a piece of cake again or something. Which is never the case. There's always more cake! I also hate to run. I don't think it's fun at all. The most I've jogged it a 5K and I did feel great afterwards, but I wanted to stop the whole time I was doing it! I'm sure you're weightloss will be great for September! Keep up the amazing work!
