Starting again.

Monday, September 16, 2013

Like I do every week, I take it as a day to start over. Everyone's at work or school, so I get to start my weekly routine too.

I do so much better when no one's home. I can stick to eating light and getting all my veggies in, it's so much easier to just cut up some cucumbers and tomatoes than to make a full lunch. I can head out the door whenever I feel like going instead of having to see if anyone wants to go with and making sure all the kids are dressed properly.

I'm glad to see some old Spark friends showing up again. Occasionally I notice a bunch of them gone, but sometimes I get a random message from them starting over again. I'm glad that they show back up. I hate to see them inactive and never know why, but am glad to see them back.

So now we start again. Every day, every meal, every choice, we have the ability to start over. Even if we've been gone for a while, we can always come back and start over.

Today's Holidays: Mexican Independence Day, Working Parents Day, Collect Rocks Day, National Play-Doh Day, National Guacamole Day and National Cinnamon-Raisin Bread Day.

We have all done the starting over bit. I guess you have to a couple of times, to finally get it right. Friday is my 6 months, consistently documenting my nutrition, and progress. I cannot wait for the results at the Dr. Friday. This is the longest I have ever gone with any one diet/program/journey. I prefer journey diet is no longer in my words to use. I have not to this day had one craving or have cheated, ok maybe a little I had more chicken (baked of course) than I meant to have. I still tracked it and it was still in my calorie allotment.
I was reading back through my blogs when I first started with Sparkpeople, I did good then too, but I cheated along the way. I would have a candy bar or fried something, but would go back to Clean after, but after awhile, it got too much and it became a binge. and I didn't go back, and I managed to gain it all back. But what I am doing now, that I didn't do then is drop sugar. Biggest difference in the world! I can't express how that item, can screw up all plans.
So begin again, start over or actually just continue to work toward your goals. I am proof that it can happen, and I started over too! Just without the S word! lol emoticon

Oh and I loves me fitbit~ Thanks to you and BEACHWALKER1 I will look at how to add friends later today, I haven't forgotten!!!

    This is sooo true.

And isn't eating and exercising easier when you're alone? Too bad the others (who "get in the way" emoticon ) make life so much better!!

I guess whomever makes Play Doh is really celebrating today. I saw the first Play Doh commercial I have seen in years this morning. Happy Play Doh day!

I agree, when I am alone at the house (I work from home) and the kids are at school, I do much better. I went on a vacation at the end of August and was doing great. Now, settling back into my routine, blogging and checking in here needs to be a priority to keep from derailing myself! :) emoticon
