so, from what I see, the minimum I can eat is 1,200 calories a day....and 1,500 is my max. I saw a nutritionist who told me to not go below 1,400 in a day and 1,600 is my max. I don't know why it bothers me so much, but because I cant work out, I want to eat enough, but not too much. In a month I think I'm going to try weight watchers, because its not about calories there-and calorie counting drives me INSANE. I just want to know what I eat is good for me, which is why I like weight watchers. It bases to carbs to protein to fiber.

Also, because I cant work out, I get so iffy with foods. I realized that I HATE smoothies, so that wont be happening again....

but I love salads! What do you put in yours?

I personally love spinach salads with just a little of Litehouse spinach salad dressing.
Last night I added some romaine, cherry tomatoes, cucumber slices, a couple of cut up grapes (I like diced apple too) and a grilled salmon patty. It was quite a feast...
As far as going to WW.....there is a team here on SP....W8Watchers and might want to check that out too. I know a few people who swear by the WW program and it works for them. Hope you find the right plan for you, no plan is a one size fits all so we need to do what is good for us. emoticon

This whole calorie counting thing is starting to drive me crazy too. I recently combined my SP nutrition tracker with the fitness tracker so now it's really been insane since my intake recommendations are different every day based on what I enter for my fitness. Do whatever you feel is best for you..I have never tried Weight Watchers but it seems like a great program. emoticon And for salads, I usually eat them plain these days..My seasonings will usually be just a little salt and pepper. The veggies and turkey slices (or tuna, etc.) give the salad enough flavor for me. emoticon

One of my favorite dinners is 2 cups of fresh spinach, 1 cup of chopped tomatoes, 1 cup chopped cucumbers, 4 oz. of chicken tenderloins from Costco, 1/2 cup of 2% cottage cheese, and 1-2 T. Newman's Own Cream Caesar Dressing. I usually have this with a serving of Sensible Portions Veggie Crisps from Costco, and a couple tablespoons of hummus. Yummy and you feel like you're eating a lot. I also eat between 1200-1550 calories per day. The thing I love about SP is I don't really have to do much calorie counting, the tracker does it for me. I just concentrate on planning out a meal plan that sounds good each night for the following day, working to get the 50%carb, 30% fat, 20% protein ratio correct. I don't worry about the calories, as long as they fall somewhere in my range. It has worked well so far. 25 pounds down since I joined the end of May. I wish you good luck on your journey.
