We all set goals. Drink more water, go to the gym, cut back on this or that, exercise more.
And we think it's all about choices. And it is.
But I'm thinking there's another, maybe even stronger, ingredient.
When we say I want to drink more water, what we are really saying is I want to be CONSISTENT with drinking more water. Not for 3 days or during the 30 day challenge, but forever. I want to be consistent with drinking 8 glasses of water every day forever.
The same goes for every single goal we set for ourselves.
I am going to be CONSISTENT in doing _________________ forever.
The old 'one foot in front of the other', 'keep on keepin' on', 'Rome wasn't built in a day'.
I think at SPARK we call them STREAKS.
So, if I want to reach my goals, I have to turn them into STREAKS OF CONSISTENCY.
And not STREAKS OF PERFECTION, BUT STREAKS OF PROGRESS.
