Indian Summer

Thursday, September 12, 2013

Yesterday I was determined to get some swimming in even though I'm waiting for the propane people to re-fill the tank for the pool heater/generator . Even though the mercury was in the low nineties I approached the water with some trepidation as I've become used to soothingly warm temperatures in the pool.

Surprise, surprise--it wasn't that bad! Refreshing, in fact, once I bit the bullet, plunged in and started doing my laps. The water temp wasn't that cold, in the mid seventies, but just not in the mid-eighties range that I'm used to.

I enjoyed the extended summer weather that we're being treated to--good swim, good read of the novel I was currently into (finished it yesterday) and some extended cuddle time with Pumpkin, the outdoor cat who loves hanging out at the pool and will sit on my lap indefinitely until I shoo her off.

Another day in the nineties is forecast for today but with the possibility of thunderstorms, so it won't be a duplicate of yesterday's perfect blue skies. And after today, a return of early fall weather. All the more reason to savor "indian summer."

I loved the blue sky and the heat DH does not. Our pool is closed but not covered it looks nicer that way but it is getting dirty. The liner moved and they SAID they would be back ????????????????????When they did not say so DH will not pay till it is done. I told him NOT TO.
I would love to have a heater and you mentioned propane and generator. PLEASE tell me more or send me a link so I know what it is like.
