Rallied round with all your support

Wednesday, September 11, 2013

Still a little fragile, but tried to get on with my normal life and avoid thinking about that episode. I do so appreciate everyone who supported and encouraged me and shared their stories... disturbing that so many of us have these stories, though, isn't it?

Hard to get to sleep last nite, had hot bath at 1:30am that helped. Slept in till 10am. Had my Korean student come here today and we walked Buddy and had our talk. We walked the whole 2 hours....maybe sat for 3-4 min.... Close to rain, but it stayed dry with a good strong, but not cold wind.

Then took MIL to town and shopped a bit... I really have to try and finish that 200 pgs. in my book the library wants back tomorrow or Friday.

breakfast and lunch were fine, but we went to A&W for supper, and that is fine too, cuz I do have to live and cannot diet and avoid food my whole life. I did go all out though and have the onion rings and a teen burger... I was hungry and it tasted good, haven't had onion rings in so long.....
I'm tired, how am I going to knit and watch tv and also read..... think I may be pushing myself too hard today....

It does not surprise me that you turned to a teenburger and onion rings and found them tasting so good, after all you had a terrible upset with the bullying movie. Thats what emotional eaters do, to make themselves feel better.

It is fine to have these kinds of meals once in awhile. No one said you cannot ever have them again! The trick is to have them once in awhile, not every other day.

In my life, I monitor myself by having 1 week segments of life. In that week, I watch what I eat 6 of those days and I have one day I allow for eating foods I shouldnt eat too often, like pizza, frnch fries and so on. The day is a floating day, could be wed this week and fri next week. Long as you eat 80 percent of the time, on track and with in your food allowances, then you should still lose and have foods you love.

    have a great day!

You sound better today. I am a firm believer that if you crave some comfort food every once in awhile, especially after a stressful episode, that you should indulge. I've got t o go to the library today. I have to return an audio book and pick up another book that I put on hold. That makes 4 that I have that I haven't even started. Like you, I must take time to read them.

Onion rings are better than French fries, I'm told. :O) I had some just the other day--and you're right, we need to eat a treat now and then. We're human, after all!

I love your "Hats for Healing" phrase! Those babies are so blessed to get a gift so filled with love.

I've been bullied by another teacher. I was lucky and she moved out of our district into another. I'm praying for you.

Happy to hear that you are hanging in there!

Yes, your day was very very busy..put those feet up and relax. Oh, the teen burger wasn't bad. And what would life be without the occasional onion ring!!!
