Week #7

Seven weeks into this... I lost 2.5 pounds this week bringing the total to 22.8!

In many ways it doesn't seem like its been 7 weeks already. The first couple of weeks were a struggle to get things set, get in a routine and work through the changes mentally and physically. Now it seems normal and borderline natural to have 2oz meals and drink protein shakes like they're going out of style.

I just this week started missing things...which is very different from craving things. I can't honestly say I've craved any food specifically since starting 7 weeks ago and that's huge coming from someone who HAD to have a piece of candy every day. I miss enjoying a glass of wine or a cold beer on a hot day. I'm not nor ever have been a regular drinker so I'm really trying to understand why I'd be so fixated on this. Maybe it's the socialization that typically surrounds drinking that I'm missing? Or maybe just relaxing? I don't relax much right now so who knows.

We have picked up a more regular exercise routine lately which is great! I've been using the RunKeeper free app to track workouts. It's great because if I don't work out it gently reminds me that I worked out last night so why not again tonight? :)

Looking slightly forward, week 8 is our last 2oz meals. Week 9 we move up to 3 oz! Exciting and odd. Two ounces of food really makes me think about my food choice. I have two it going to be chips or protein? So far the chips have never even been an option. I just hope we maintain that same attitude over 3 ounces and beyond!
