The Lost Weekend

Saturday, September 07, 2013

This is turning into the lost weekend. Hubby is away. Helping out with his Dad and I cancelled my mother's care for the daytime hours both days, figuring that I could spend time with her. It just means that not much is getting done on the home front. Oh well.

Today I got in some WIO time before and after my time with her. Yah!

Took her to lunch and then to a crafts store to walk around. After we got back to the house, I ran out for a few things she needed. Then we went next door to my aunt's house for pizza. It was nice to spend time with them. Lately I feel like I can't spread myself any thinner.

Tomorrow I will be going down around lunchtime and spending the afternoon. I might see if she wants to come to my house after she eats so I can chat while I weed my gardens. Hmmm, that might work.

I think I will give Val's Pomodoro method (check out her blog) a try in an attempt to stay focused and actually accomplish something. Will be interesting at work when I tell those interrupters to come back in 25 minutes. emoticon

Sounds like you are doing what needs to be done. Helping out with our elders is certainly admirable! But like we all have to remember.....taking care of ourselves is equally important!

Seems like you had a nice Saturday with your family while being able to exercise!

Really look forward to seeing what you've accomplished with the Pomodoro technique!
