Recommitting to a food plan

Friday, September 06, 2013

Ahhhhh. Following a food plan for me is like navigation through the sea - I constantly have to bring my self back on route. I am ok with that, it is the way I am, and I bet it is true for more then one of you out there. Its ok!

My eating has not been horrible, but I did find that after my weekend, that included champagne and chips (remember the doggie birthday party?) I wobbled my way back to following my food plan. I ate what was on plan, but I had bites of this and that too. I am currently enrolled in a challenge group and will be posting my 30 and 60 day progress pictures. I want to ENSURE that there is visible progress in those pictures!! Why pay money to be a part of a challenge and then not follow through? That is flushing cash down the toilet. We don't want to flush cash down the toilet, do we??

I realize that part of my desire to eat other things is that 1) my period is coming and 2) my metabolism is burning faster than ever before due to INSANITY. It is no big deal, I can handle it. I am so proud of my self for catching it and seeing it for what it is (hormones and a need for more quality food - and structured meals) instead of beating my self up and calling my self a loser for not being able to adhere to a food plan.

So moving forward:

-Set my new caloric requirement to 1600k to support all of my activity and maintain a small deficit

-AGAIN, plan and tupperware all my meals for easy to grab food - this is especially important for my night time meal. If I have to prepare food at night when I am starving I will snack the entire time my food is cooking!

-Flesh out meals with MORE VEGGIES!

Ok that is set!

Now some fun stuff!

We have had the hottest days of the year here in Santa Barbara. The last few days have been so hot that people would leave the evening time aerobics classes before they were over. As an incentive we promised popsicles to every customer that finished class! lol

This is us after class was over, pardon us for looking tired! And yes, those popsicles are 100% fruit juice only emoticon

You guys look great in the picture! Btw, my kids LOVE those fruit pops! emoticon Haha Love the fact that you are recommitting. Although, I have to say, with all that you put your body through, it doesn't sound like you are doing too badly! If you were an inactive person, then perhaps the food choices you have been making would affect you negatively, but you're doing so much!

I get that way to a week prior to my period. I'm just HUNGRY all the time! It's like I can eat and eat but I'm never full! And when I went through Insanity, yeah, I was hungry all the time then too! So put those together~ emoticon My goodness, craziness.

What challenge are you doing? Sounds interesting!
