DASH diet is working for me. On August 19, y BP was 160/110. That was when I decided to start following the DASH diet. I've had to eat what I had and what I could get my son to buy for me and I've had to rely on convenience foods which have higher sodium levels than I would like. Today, my BP was 122/86! emoticon

Today, I walked from my car to the clinic doors and back which is about the same distance as walking to the street. Then I walked to the street and back 4 times over the course of the day. By the last time, I was worn out. I'm not doing it all at once, but by the time I'm walking back up to the house the last time, it was an effort. I'll be increasing the number of times, but not until I can do the fifth walk without being worn out.

I'm making definite progress!
