Happy to be blogging again

I think writing about what's going on with my weight journey is very beneficial. I'm not sure that everything I say will help anyone else, but it certainly helps me to get it out and down on paper how I am thinking/feeling about things. It tends to clarify good thinking and make me question bad thinking.

One thing I love to do and that gives me joy while I am out walking is to take photos. I will have my "Runtasic" app going, my "Pandora", my camera on my phone and be editing/looking at photos while I am walking. It really gives me joy on my "slower" walks.

I see all sorts of pretty things, and it does my heart good to capture them on film.

Yesterday, I ate very clean. I was just reviewing my numbers from yesterday and my carb count was 90. My sugars were still a little high, they were 50, but the sugars came from honey, and fruits. I don't consider that "bad" sugar. I feel like if it is from food that God gave me, I can have it! Just my opinion...

Speaking of honey, I found this wonderful recipe which is a great snack for me and helps keep off the sugar cravings. They are called Energy Balls.

Basically you take all the ingredients, mix them in a bowl and let chill for 30 minutes. Then you shape into little balls and keep in your fridge for up to a week, covered tightly. I say YUMMMMMMMM!!! Each ball has about 80 calories and they are pretty filling.

I leave you with a couple of photos of me as of late...
