The most ridiculous day to log food

Wednesday, September 04, 2013

is today. I made a Korean dinner with lots of banchan (little side dishes) for my hubby's birthday. And I WAY overestimated the amount of food I made. It was ridiculous bordering on grotesque. Three kinds of bbq'd meat, squid, anchovy, kimchee and more kimchee, eggplant three different ways, all the namul dishes he loves, etc... WHAT KIND OF CRAZY PERSON AM I?
He liked it, anyhoo. And I had a big stack of take-out containers that I bought ages ago from the party supply store, so I made everyone take home lots of food. Blessedly, I really only have the cake to contend with tomorrow.
But dinner! I'm going to pass on this one for logging accurately. I didn't overeat, but I did take two bites of 12 favorite dishes probably. There were lots of veggies in there; carrot, turnip, lettuce, onion, zucchini, spinach, so I am going to call this a wash with the piece of birthday carrot cake I enjoyed.
I hope I can still celebrate with food in the future. I love to cook.
