Today was the 4th day in a row that I did not go to the gym and I'm a little upset at myself. The first day was because it was sunday, one of my rest days. The second day was labour day and the transit system is just god awful so I decided to just go for a walk instead. The third day, I started to feel sick and feverish. I was afraid to exercise and make it worse. And the final day, today, was the first day of classes and I was at school from 8:30am to 7:00pm, all while still feeling sick. I'm taking fever medication to relieve the symptoms. I don't know whether I should go to the gym anyway tomorrow and tough it out, or if I should take a few more days off to shake off this sickness. I don't want to be away from the gym too long and start to lose momentum, but I don't want to make it worse. Obviously if I do decide to go to the gym, I won't overwork myself. Could going to the gym for a light workout be beneficial for a cold/flu? Is there any kind of exercise that won't make my sickness worse?

I always try to keep at the workouts even if I have a cold - obviously if you're really feeling lousy you'll want to rest. For me, I'm like a big fat rock. If I keep up my routine, keep on rollin' I'm okay. But it's tough to get started again once I stop!

The upside when I have a cold with congestion is that working out clears my head for a time at least!
