My body is really good at resisting change, and this week I must say I am quite happy about it.
We had a great vacation at Gran Canaria, all inclusive. And even though I made sure to stay away from the obviously utterly unhealthy foods at the buffets, I still ate a lot more than I usually do! Bacon, eggs and lots of fresh fruits for breakfast. Grilled fish, veggies and lots and lots of delicious green mole for lunch. Whatever looked the tastiest for dinner, and a generous portion of it! Ice-pops at the beach. Not to mention the daily olives and wine in the evenings and the many dried figs with my cups of coffee in the mornings.
I did not track my food while away, it would just have been too impractical bringing a scale and pestering the chefs to name every little ingredient. (I was already pestering them enough with my food-allergies..) However by now I have a fair shot at eyeing serving sizes and ingredients. My guesstimate is that I was probably getting in between 2300-2700 calories most days.
So basically, it seems I can eat way over my budget for 8 days straight and not gain at all. On the flip side I can also eat within my SP calorie budget for months and not loose.. Oh well, today I am reveling in the former!
