So far I am LOVING the FITBIT though not sure that my goals for 10,000 to 12,000 steps are achievable without great work. I think September goal will be 8,000 Three times a week and 10,000 2 times a week. At the end of September I won't be working so I will most defiantly bump up the numbers but I am a girl that need achievable goals and although I did hit JUST over 10,000 yesterday with me walking around the house for the last 100 steps to get there I think work, kids and house are not going to allow the extra steps with our schedule YET!!!     At first, I really had trouble getting there, too. So I set reminders on my phone for every hour of the day between 9:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. to stop what I'm doing and walk for at least 5 minutes. I also figured out how many steps I needed to have at various points during the day if I was going to be on pace to make 10,000, that way I would know if I needed to walk a little longer that hour or in the evening. I started that in May and since then, I've only missed 10,000 twice due to illness. In fact, just last month I upped my daily goal to 11,000 and one day a week at 15,000. It is second nature to me now.

    Once upon a time I could hit the 10,000 but life got in the way and now I aim for 7,500 a day and if I can hit 10,000 on anyday, I gladly take it. You have to do what is manageable for you.

    Wooo hooo! I just bought a Fitbit as well and am having the same thoughts about the 10,000 steps per day. Maybe when my baby starts walking/running? :) Hope you're enjoying it as much as I am. Cheers!
