As some of you know, I have been doing a virtual walk to Subiaco Abbey in Subiaco, Arkansas.
When I found the "Where are YOU walking to?" sparkteam shortly after I arrived her at SparkPeople, I had only been walking on a regular basis for maybe a couple of weeks. I hadn't done this for twelve years since the Fibromyalgia diagnosis.
Now, because of the external motivation and support I found here at SparkPeople, I am finding new intrinsic motivation to take care of my body---something I have rarely wanted to do because of self-loathing for the majority of my life.
Here I am now, hitting the gym during on the days when it is just too hot to do my walk outside, and I'm really looking forward to it...something I haven't done in many, many years.
So here is the update on my virtual walk:
4/29/2013: 207 - 2 = 205 (I wonder how much thinner and healthier I will be when I finally arrive?)
5/07/2013: 205 - 2 = 203 (I'm back from out of state and back on my virtual party trip.)

I'm planning a celebratory blog for the day I finally finish this walk. I have contacted the abbey to find out about a personal retreat there and am waiting to hear back from them.
I'm looking now for the destination of my next virtual walk. There is one place that I really, really want to go to and have wanted to see for several years. It will take me about as long to walk there as this one has taken me. The difference is the amount of mileage I will have to cover per week, every week without fail. I'm looking forward to posting a blog about it when the time comes to declare my next destination.
