Hampi is a U.N. World Heritage site. It was the capital of the Vijayanagar Empire founded around 1300 A.D. that managed to hold northern invaders at bay for two and a half centuries.

On this day my wife and I visited the site (along with two SparkFriends of ours) as well as our friend Ms. Savitha Rajamani who took this photograph.
