Down 151 lbs with final 50 to go!

Friday, August 30, 2013

I'm free and clear from hip surgery restrictions... I've lost 151 lbs and that's the third 50 lb installment on my weight loss goal of my 200 lb loss... I'm ready to hit it and get this last 50 lbs off of my frame! In fact, I feel as thought my body has really started to get used to my diet and my exercise routine... soooooo

I've decided to join a gym for these last 50 lbs. I'm going Extreme Makeover/Biggest Loser style and really going to put my ALL into the workout sessions and sweat my "butt" off, literally (I hope!)

If Chris Powell can get his clients to lose weight in the final stretch, then why can't I?

    Very impressive! emoticon

You must be feeling terrific!! The final stretch is the most challenging, but with 151 lbs. (an ENTIRE person) gone, I think you've got what it takes to go all the way.

Best wishes for your continued success. You look great right now - very happy emoticon

Terrri, Actually, I've always been comfortable in my skin... however, I've had other struggles in my life. I'm a cancer survivor and I've had a difficult marriage and my son was born a preemie (although at 6' and 16 years of age now, you'd never know)... I just never put my weight first on my list of things to take on as a challenge in my life.
I "battled" cancer, I "battled" my difficult marriage, I "struggled" through a difficult pregnancy and then the challenge of that first year of my son's life... I just had alot of challenges in my life to overcome... I'd like to believe that I've been strong throughout all the challenges in my life. When I finally decided to make my weight my #1 challenge, then I just decided to put my entire FOCUS on it. I truly believe that the main component of winning the weight loss battle is all in the mind...

Great job! I would love to have your attitude. Obviously you didn't always have this mindset, was this something you had to force or fake in the beginning or was it just as simple as a switch made in your thinking?
