A hard week

Friday, August 30, 2013

This has been a hard week. For myself, and also for others here on Spark. Apparently something is in the air...or maybe it's a testament to how all beings are connected. There are some days, or some weeks, on this journey to self improvement that you just feel like you've hit a wall, either with the diet, with the exercise, with maintaining a positive attitude, or with just plain hanging in there in general. It would waste time going into details of the hows and whys. Suffice it to say that this week I am so grateful for the community here. I was struggling earlier this week and I was so touched by the outreach of friends that it moved me to tears at one point. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

I saw the following picture on the Runners World. It cracked me up so much. I'm sure we've all felt like this at some point.

So sorry to hear you had a rough week!!!! I saw your status that you ran 2 straight miles and in my mind that alone would have kept me on a high for days. You inspire me so much and I hope you feel better in the coming days because I know you can do this!

I love you, Holley, and YES...this community makes ALL the difference in the world, doesn't it?!? I'm so glad you kept coming back!!

We can't help hitting those walls, but we have COMPLETE CONTROL over how we respond to them! Getting on SPARK when you least feel like doing that is the BEST MEDICINE for what ails us from time to time, here in this flesh.

I'm so glad and grateful YOU are here HolleyBug!!! :-)

    love you so,

It's the reaching out when you're at a low point that proves to be the best decision there is, here at Sparkpeople. I have come and gone more times than I even care to admit, because when the going got tough for me, I got going. This time I am reaching out, as you wisely do. I guess some days when we can't see our own worth, or cannot feel our progress, it's good to have a look through someone else's eyes or at least feel the truth, that they are rooting us all the way to the finish line and beyond.

Love you, honey, keep on keeping on!
