It's been about 2 months since my last visit to the chiropractor. My upper back is all messed up and it hurts when I turn my upper torso. Yesterday when I got up from my chair at work, my left leg from my hip to my ankle had such a shooting pain I couldn't move for a couple of moments. I used to go once very 2 weeks, but my chiropractor liked to talk politics a little too much ... and some of her racist ideas didn't fly with me. (I mean, she knows I have a brown husband! Why would she keep yapping away?)
Anyway, I didn't make a follow up appointment after my last visit 2 months ago and hadn't gotten around to finding another chiropractor that takes my insurance. I thought I would just wait until after I go back to part-time work and start paying out-of-pocket for a new insurance, so I wouldn't build a relationship with a new doctor only to have to leave them in a few months. Turns out I can't wait that long!
The silver lining? I think I could make my appointments monthly rather than every other week (and save myself some moolah!). It's only been the last few weeks that I've started feeling out of whack.
I just made an appointment for a week and a half out with a chiropractor that is within walking distance of my apartment. Yay! In the meantime: Ooo! Ouch! Ah!
