8/28/13 Update

Hi Everyone! So earlier this month I had a bit of a health scare. I went to Urgent Care for chest pains. For the past month my activities have been restricted. The doc said I could not weight train, run or any other strenuous activity. emoticon So I had to be more dilligent with my food intake. I am happy to report that with no activity I was able to maintain my weight! emoticon I was cleared on Friday, August 23rd to exercise again, and I celebrated by completing a 15 minute workout video, because I wanted my body to get slowly get reacquainted with working out. Today, I weighed in at 184, which is 2 lbs LESS than when I was put on activity restriction. emoticon So....I'm back!
I also forgot to mention that I found out my cholesterol is high again (no surprise there, since my weight is up), so my doc is giving me 6 months to get my numbers down. If they are not down he says he wants to discuss that, I embrace the challenge and say PHOOEY to the meds! I did it before, and will do it again!
Lastly, my breast reduction surgery is scheduled for November 19th, so I will be revising my fitness goals to accomodate the surgery and recovery from my new "girls". I am SOOOOOO excited! emoticon

    So glad you're okay and able to get back to it. Also congrats on the weight loss! You're a testament that nutrition is as important as working out. You can still lose even without exercising. Blessing on your future surgery. A few of my co-workers have had that in the past year. Both seem to be happy with the new results. Hang in there and I hope you continue to meet your goals

    Way to go on keeping the weight off during your restrictions. you will have to blog about the surgery, I am really considering it. go slow in your return to activity and lkeep us posted. emoticon
