"I'm on my second cup of coffee and still can't face the day..."

Wednesday, August 28, 2013

Four shifts in a row at J#2, with no weekend means that I'm really tired today. Looking for my motivation. I have a lot of work to do at the office, and my day is interrupted because I have to do a deposition for my law partner. I think that I'm whining.

Getting off of work at 11 (or, even 10:15, like last night) is tough on my system because it takes me a couple of hours to unwind before I can go to sleep, then I have to get up early in the morning. The new mattress makes my sleep much better, so at least I get good sleep (even if it's only about 6 hours).

'm listening to some CDs that I took out of the library. In this minute I'm listening to Melody Gardot "Worrisome Heart" -- I like it and it's slow night-time music, not morning music. AAACK!! On to Buena Vista Social Club to wake me up.

Random Stuff:

I'm reading a YA book called "Starters" that is interesting and creeping me out. I want to see where it's going to end up, but am afraid to go there (LOL) so I've been ignoring it for the past couple of days.

The Girl started college again on Monday. Called me twice in the morning -- first time because she couldn't find her credit card and needed me to read her the number so she could print out a parking pass. Second time, she couldn't get on line and needed me to hack her college account and tell her where her classes were. Some things never change.

Nothing random in my life -- have a great day!

I laughed at your comment on ignoring the book. I remember reading a book that was supposed to be about someone being abducted by aliens. I have a great imagination. I decide not to read it after dark. LOL. Well it had described the aliens as short and said they would stand quietly by the person's bed. One night I heard shuffling. I lived in Alaska at the time so we had twilight. When I opened my eyes my little short daughter was standing quietly by the bed. Scared the bejeasas out of me!

Hope you get some rest soon.
