We're Not Broken Just Bent

and we can learn to love again

I am in love with this Pink and Fun duet, and I sang it in church yesterday. Actually, I helped put on an all musical service. It was totally fun. Then, my college president showed up randomly, deciding to check me church out THAT DAY. Yikes! I think it all went really well.

I ran 3 miles on Friday as the first official run of my training for the Wine and Dine half marathon. I've got two more runs planned this week, and I'm running with a friend so I can't miss them! Saturday, I ran around all morning helping to set up for a local art and music festival, then I treated myself to the available fair food at the festival. There were gluten-free nutella crepes, I had to have one! Still, it wasn't bad, I had the crepe, some homemade chips, a lemon-lime-orangeade with very little sugar, and a sausage and peppers. I think that balanced the 3 hours of movement before eating.

My weight has been up and down this week, but it's TOM, so I take no stock in those numbers until next week.

I was a bit tired this weekend, but I have a bit of a sore throat this morning, so that's probably why. I'm hitting it with raw honey, zicam, and herbal tea and it feels better already. I'll take some anti-histamines this evening and hopefully kick this with no real symptoms.

Classes start Wednesday! Am I ready? Sort of. I will be ready when I have to be. Speaking of that, I should go work on stuff for class.

Onward and upward!

I like C S Lewis books and have started going through his space trilogy lately. One recurring them is that our world is bent. Coincidence?
