Trying It Again

My diet buddy, my dog Molly, and I are jumping back in the saddle again. She needs to lose about 8 lbs and me? Well...let's just say I am almost starting over. I have managed to keep off most of what I've lost but I haven't lost a whole lot to begin with. I just seem to yo-yo the same 10 lbs.

I posted this saying because I do believe I can do it. I seem to lose 35 lbs every time I try then gain a few pounds back only to plateau for years. I lose interest when the scale isn't going down. It's good that I pretty much stay the same instead of gaining every thing back plus more but then again I'm not reaching my goal. So, we are trying it again. I KNOW we can do this!

    That is good that you don't gain it back. I on the other hand gained mine all back, I will not give up though and I will accomplish this healthier lifestyle goal!

    I think it is like trying to quit smoking - we just need to keep trying until we succeed. I'm refocusing too and trying to get to a weight that is healthier and that I can maintain. We can do this!

    You can do it! Well, I've lost 35 pounds and have been sitting here at the same weight since November. Granted I had surgery, but that was at the end of December, so not a valid excuse. I started a "new" exercise routine. Sort of like walking the dog. After each meal, I go for a walk. Anywhere from 10 to 30 minutes. I've been doing this for three weeks now. The point is to help your body digest the food you've eaten and maintain your blood sugar level. You could just do dishes and stay busy--no sitting in front of the TV or the computer, but I wanted it to count as exercise, so I walk. I'm sleeping much better. Now I've got to bring my calorie count back down and I'll be back in the swing of things. So, grab Molly and go for a walk! We can do this!

    I can really relate to exercising with my dog. It's like having a buddy with you. Please remember he or she needs water during this walk or what ever too. Please be careful on your pet's food supply: don't switch into some vet recommended diet food, or crash down your pet's eating supply! Believe me that can cause your pet to become a diabetic, or have kidney failure. Just cut out the cookies for every reward. It can cause your pet to get glaucoma. If your pet is used to snacking too, just give him a piece of apple, or a carrot.
    Have patience with your self about loosing weight. It is a battle that goes on for all your life. If you just like food, or just have bad habits it will catch up with you as far as health. So, what is it ? You want to always feel bad about yourself, or how people think you look, or do you want to get serious! And ignore that, and realize you want to look good and feel good to live longer! Cause that's what will happen if you start taking care of yourself.
