This will be short and sweet.
-Read Made to Crave and the devotional daily
-Look for God in all areas of my life, spend daily time with him
-Drink more water and take vitamins.
These goals are simple this week but I need to get control of the "what's eating me" before I can really focus on the "what I am eating" phase.
***this is not to say that I will allow myself to go hog-wild and eat whatever and how much I want. This simply means that I am practicing looking to God and allowing myself time to transition being back at work (this will be my second week back as a teacher from summer break).
When I was reading the personal reflections for Chapter 3 of Made to Crave, I really thought about my eating plan. This chapter was on developing an eating plan that will work long term for you. This is what I came up with.
-Real foods works better for me than clean eating. I want to fill my diet with healthy, real foods minimizing the processed junk as much as possible; however, I will never succeed if I try to eliminate milk, cheese, and yogurt. Instead, I will choose ones that are made better or from natural ingredients.
-I feel convicted to feed my family better
-Counting calories for the long haul isn't realistic. I need to made good choice the majority of the time and slowly eliminate the issue foods by replacing them with healthy choices.
