Day 147 - Discouraged...but OK

Yesterday, I lost 25 pounds. My husband and I did a 3 mile walk along the trails at a local forest preserve, then we headed over to Chili's and probably ate the most saltiest foods offered.

Well, today the scale definitely showed...I gained 3 pounds! I am fully aware that it is the salty water retention. It is a lot and it is discouraging.

So, I hit the pavement.

It was getting so hot outside. I managed to do two miles. Which is another discouraging thing... I probably walked 1.25 miles and jogged .75 miles. The last 1/8 mile, I sprinted. Too late...UGH!

I had to use the washroom in the worst way...sigh. I gave up and just took a shower. I really hate when I have to use the washroom when I am a half mile out from my home. It is such a struggle to contain it, especially when I have to sprint and squeeze those muscles!

Well....there is always tomorrow!

    Don't beat yourself up over the small stuff. Keep your eyes on the big picture and how far you've already come!

    Once you get rid of the salt/water retention, you'll see the scale move down again. It takes a couple days for the exercise to show results too.

    Congratulations on the 25 pounds lost! That's fantastic!
