Regretting Meatballs

Saturday, August 24, 2013

The other day I found a package of frozen ground turkey ...It somehow escaped the purge of my freezer of everything not on the Eat to Live food program. So I promised my daughter I would make her favorite meal..My homemade turkey meat balls and whole wheat pasta.
I made that promise last night. But was in too much pain to do it last night. TOday wasn't much better painwise but I rested up all day so I would be able to cook it today. Doing that meant saying no to a campfire over at my pastor's house. I really really wanted to go to that. I haven't done anything fun for as long as I can remember. Oh well.

Right now I'm struggling with abdominal pain and feeling like I'm going to burst. I only ate 2 meat balls and a little spaghetti. But I have not had that kind of food for so really feels like I'm gonna be sick. I've been struggling with my weight and the decision to follow ETL....It's a lot of work but I feel a heck of a lot better with eating that way. Problem is my family doesnt want to eat that way any more. I'm sick of hearing his complaints. But I really need to stick with this.

I am thinking its stress more than the food. Stress wreaks havoc with your body system wide :( I hate hearing about your uncaring family. They should be supporting and doing things for you!!!
Stick to your plan if its working for you. They can have it or leave it and prepare their own food. You really need to put yourself first!

My tummy gets upset with pasta and sauces like that. Even when they are packed with veggies. I think it's just the fact that it's already sauce and I already have IBS. One iota of anxiety and my stomach turns into the Devil in disguise.

Do you think maybe the anxiety and constant stress of dealing with your ungrateful spouse is the reason whey your tummy feels poorly? I only ask because I have to report for Jury Duty tomorrow and I swear that the anxiety is killing my guts. Grrr.

And if I were you, I would have slung a pot of ETL food at my family for being so unreasonable. Eat what is cooked, or fend for yourself. That's how my mother finally put it to us when we were about 14. And we were always to eat what was on our plate since we were old enough to feed ourselves. Growing up poor and on a farm really makes you see dinner in a completely different light.

hey, send your hubby and daughter to live on a dairy farm and then see if they like what they have to eat every day. I guarantee when they come home they will have gained 10 pounds and will be begging for the lighter fare!! LOL

    Hang in there, gorgeous!

I don't eat pasta any more due to the large amount of carbs it has. For me my weight loss has benefited from low carbs and high protein. Did the sauce with spices hurt your emoticon stomach? So sorry, hope you feel better.
