A BBQ Last Night

Had such fun yesterday evening - went with a neighbor to a bbq put on by the hospital. We had hamburgers with all the fixings and watermelon. Oh, and the baked beans and potato salad were the very best!!
The Pendleton Round-Up is in a couple of weeks and the princesses were there - 6 rodeo princesses and 2 Indian princesses. They were dressed in all their regalia - and such charming girls they were. It was held at a retirement home so the residents were able to meet and talk to these girls. What a special treat for them.
Many years ago I had surgery at the Shriner's Hospital in Portland. And the princesses of the Rose Parade came. I was 7 years old and was just in awe!! I remember one girl on the ward who was paralyzed and how the girls made over her. Just made her day!!
Oh, the memories just a simple bbq can bring to mind. I wonder what our memories will be in Heaven?? Will we remember those fun bbqs with family and friends? And those beautiful sunsets over the ocean? And the first time we watched as our little girl walked across the kitchen and then across the living room? (She was just 9 months old and did not walk again until she was 13 months old. Guess she had done it once and that was enough!!).
