I must keep going

Thursday, August 22, 2013

It was not at all easy to get out of bed this morning to workout. It is the middle of the the second week of my working out and I am tired and sore. Normally this would be the time in most workout programs that I would be petering out and saying I was a failure. But I can't do that this time. I need to keep going. It is helping that my husband is working out with me. I need to hold on to that feeling I have when I am done with a work out. The feeling of accomplishment of finishing it, not the out-of-breath I am exhausted-ness.

I have goals to meet so i can't give up!

You can do it! If you need to, give yourself ONE day of rest. It will help the sore muscles calm down (and heal). If you're afraid One day off will turn into Ten - then go easy one day with light walking.

By the way, I found during my first few weeks that taking a nice hot bath in Epsom Salts before bedtime helps soothe those muscles so you can sleep more peacefully.

Keep it up - You CAN do it! emoticon

There are times when we all want to throw in the towel. We just need to decide that we are worth the effort regardless of what mindset we have that day. Plus, we have to remember we are always our biggest critic. Keep working hard!
