So many nice people

It's been a busy and emotional week. On Tuesday, we drove back to my hometown for the memorial service for my aunt. She was the last of her generation. I hadn't seen my cousins in years and onWednesday, we all had breakfast together. My cousin's wife had gone through my aunt's pictures to pick out ones to give us that she thought would have special meaning. Two especially touched my heart... one was a framed picture of my dad when he was grade school age, so the frame is from the 1920's. Another was a snapshot of the living room of my grandmother's house and you could see the picture of my dad on the mantle.
On the way back home, DH and I ran out of gas. At first we couldn't believe what we thought was our good luck. We could see that our coasting would bring us within a few hundred feet of a gas station... only to discover it was out of business. DH started to walk to nearest town (about 5-7 miles away), First vehicle to go by stopped, took him into town to get gas, brought him back and stayed to make sure the car started. He was gone from our car about 10 min!
This morning (Thursday) we were up shortly before 4 AM to make a 6 AM flight to visit out DS, DDIL and DGS in D.C. Usually going through the TSA lines are so tiresome. The first TSA worker we met, greeted us with a smile, said our names as he returned our ID's and boarding passes to us, reminded us we wouldn't need our ID's any longer. He really made an too early day have an encouraging start.
P.S. I filled out a positive comment card about him.
